The reasons or benefits of belonging to any Club are numerous but those associated with belonging to the Clubs of Marlborough, for the Blenheim Local, are almost endless as the Club embraces the Heart of the Community by providing a wide and diverse service to its Membership.
Clubs of Marlborough is a Non for Profit organisation with all profits earned going back into the community, being its Members. It is the Clubs Committee and Managements responsibility to ensure that the best of facilities and quality of product and services are consistently provided to our Members for the best value money can buy
Belonging to Clubs of Marlborough does attract an Annual Subscription , but like all other Clubs if you utilise your Clubs facilities on a regular basis the benefits received return your fees ten fold. All Financial Club Members are eligible for the following benefits or privileges.
It’s your Birthday. By far the most popular and appreciated benefit is the Birthday Voucher. The Clubs Taylor Restaurant is producing a first class fine dining experience and as part of your Membership you receive a voucher that invites you to celebrate (in the month of) your Birthday in the Taylor Restaurant selecting from a superb 3 course A la Carte menu to a value of $35.00. Your voucher may now be redeemed on Fridays for lunch at the Old Marlborough Club in Russell Terrace(conditions apply)
Taxi Rebates. The Club takes the care and safety of our Members seriously and one of the services we provide to assist with that is a Taxi Rebate Scheme, which partially subsidises the Taxi fare to the Club and home again afterwards.
Loyalty Points are the Clubs version of “fly buys”. Currently Loyalty Points can be accrued and redeemed on any beverage purchased, which in effect is “double dipping” by supplying a discount to Members on their liquor purchases that are already the best value price in town. It is hoped in the future that all food purchases will attract Loyalty Points as well.
Membership Draws. The Club hosts a number of varying Membership Draws on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday nights where Members, at random win cash prizes just for being at the Club between a certain time. All draws have the potential to jackpot into the thousands. Over $35.000.00 is given away in cash prizes every year
Reciprocal Visiting Rights. Belonging to Clubs of Marlborough gives you the privilege of Reciprocal Visiting Rights with all Clubs New Zealand Clubs, RSA’s and many Clubs throughout Australia, so that you can enjoy the hospitality and value that you are accustomed to at home, when you travel.
ClubTAB. If you like a punt on the horses or the dogs or a lazy sports bet, there is no greater benefit than being able to win $1.000.00 a set night which we publish in advance or be in for the big quarterly draw of a $40.000.00 prize package. The New Zealand Racing Board and Clubs New Zealand have entered into a promotional arrangement that is specific to Clubs like ours that belongs to Clubs New Zealand. Place any sized bet on any day and if you are at the Club between 6pm and 7pm you might win $1.000.00. There are also $10.000.00 bonus and $40.000.00 quarterly draws based along the same lines. Welfare Meals. To assist with the welfare of some of our more needy Members, on application a Welfare Card can be obtained from Reception that provides a 50% discount off the cost of a Full Roast Meal every Sunday.
Local and National Business Discounts. Clubs Marlborough has started to form an alliance with local business for the benefit of our Members, such as a 10% discount off meat purchases at Westmeats and Clubs New Zealand to whom we are affiliated are using our combined weight to coordinate deals with National companies for Clubs Marlborough Members, which could include power deals for electricity and gas. The potential is huge and will be of significant benefit to our Members.
Bottle Store. Your Membership Card not only allows you to purchase from the Clubs Bottle Store, it also allows you to spend the Loyalty Points accrued to do so. Your Clubs Bottle Store offers a full range of take home products from FYO Flagons of Beer to an extensive range of Wines, Packaged Beers and RTD’s. Your Bottle Store also provides a FYO Bulk Spirit service at very competitive prices.
