Bistro Chef

The highly successful Bistro at the Clubs Marlborough is looking for a Chef.


To be a successful candidate for this role, it is essential that you:

  • Have 4 years or more experience as a chef

  • Have experience preparing and cooking NZ cuisine

  • Have good communication skills

  • Are hard working

  • Can lead and train a team

  • Show initiative

  • Able to work in various styles: buffet, a la carte, bistro and café

  • Competent with food safety

The position is supported internally with stock ordering, administration, a great front-of-house team, and support programs to gain NZ qualifications.

FOH Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced restaurant supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be asked to perform various managerial functions. This starts with providing our guests with a consistently high-quality dining experience. To do this, you must motivate our staff and demonstrate superior customer service skills.


As a supervisor, you will also help our team meet its standards for quality and profitability. This will involve ensuring that all food health and safety requirements are met. Your job may also require you to train new staff and create schedules that reflect the dynamic needs of the restaurant.


Key components:

  • Experience in hospitality is necessary

  • Experience as a supervisor would be an advantage

  • Ability to deliver customer service to the highest standard.

  • Barista skills would be an advantage

  • Deal with customer complaints and feedback

  • Must be able to work well within a team and be a good communicator

  • Must have the right to live and work in NZ

  • Must be able to use a POS system


This is a permanent, full-time role, working over a seven-day roster, with the necessary ability to work nights and weekends.

FOH Staff

We are looking for competent front-of-house staff.


You'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages.


You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. We want to meet you if you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace.


Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.


This is a full-time, permanent role, working over a seven-day roster, and capable of working nights and weekends. Although experience is an advantage, it is not a requirement.
